1) VHS tapes can get stuck
in your VCR. Tapes can and do break over time.
2) Lifespan of tape is 5 to 10 years before the quality starts
to decay. This means you see more lines and sound problems.
3) VCR's are beginning to be fazed out. Even rental videos
are being replaced mainly by DVD's.
4) DVD's can allow you to jump to specific sections (chapters)
without having to waste time going through the entire tape
to find something.
5) DVD's have a longer shelf life, approximately 50 to 150
years.
